ZLATNE GREDE 21
A single-story house with a facade that was altered during one of the renovations when the decorative elements from the time of its construction were removed. The house’s layout is in the shape of the Cyrillic letter “Г”. It was marked on the city plan in 1885 and was probably built in the years following the 1848 uprising. The carriage passage is on the left side, and to the right are two newer three-wing windows. Despite the renovation, the organization of the space and the old woodwork have been preserved, although the ceramic stoves have been demolished. The basement is vaulted with a semi-circular vault. On the facade is a memorial plaque with the text “In this house lived in 1872-73 as an emigrant Svetozar Miletić, the first Serbian socialist.”
